IDML has been advising and serving customers with safety
footwear for over 8 years (our parent company has been
in the market since 1982!). Together, we have over 40 years
worth of expertise available in this area.
In
1999, IDML.com was set up to tap into the new "dot com"
thing that was going to be all the rage. Initially just
a page based site, with no proper ordering & security
facilities, it was soon developed to allow customers to
purchase online with all the safety of encryption and SSL
necessary to give customers peace of mind. Now in it's 4th
generation, the site uses SecPay as a third party, bank
authorised, secure card checking and authorising party -WE
don't even get to see your card details!
As
demand and acceptance has risen, so the site has developed.
We now run on an SQL database system and can offer around
300 styles from all the leading manufacturers. We have recently
added an extra layer of access to enable larger companies
to tailor the site to their own specific requirements, making
full blown e-business available where required.

The
Footwear
We
supply footwear manufactured by the best known names in
footwear - and some by lesser known, but equally good manufacturers.
All
our safety footwear conforms to BS EN 345:1992 and meets
the EEC Directive 89/686/EEC for Personal Protective Equipment,
giving the wearer protection from falling objects and crushing.
The
key alongside each boot or shoe indicates it's specific
characteristics.
With
size ranges from 3 to 16, special ranges for the ladies
and footwear for most hazardous situations, we should have
something for everyone. But just in case you think up a
new environment to work in, give us a call, the chances
are that our manufacturers have already made a boot just
right for you!

Carriage & Shipping
Normal
order processing times for ex stock items can be as long
as 3 days when we are running flat out. We do try for a
24 hour turnaround whenever possible (weekends and holidays
permitting).

Returns
If
you need to return goods because they are faulty or wrongly
supplied, just follow these easy steps:-
Step
1) Phone us on 01983-528088 for a returns number &
contact telephone number
Step 2) Re-wrap the parcel & address it to us
Step 3) Phone the contact number & arrange a suitable
time for them to collect
If
you wish to send goods back for any other reason, then we
must ask you to pay your own postage costs.

Delays
We
try to keep our stock levels high, but we can't stock all
items all the time. We can, however, ensure our supply lines
are good enough to provide the service you need.
Unfortunately,
sometimes our manufacturers have problems and deliveries
become extended. In such instances, if the delay gets to
more than 7 days, we will notify you by e-mail (if available).
